Kind Circle Philosophy

Explore the core philosophy of Kind Circle, understand the significance of our logo, and learn how our platform operates to connect donors with deserving scholars. This page provides a comprehensive overview of our mission, values, and the seamless process that drives our community forward.

1. What is Kindness or Karuṇā?

Karuṇā is a Sanskrit word (Kara - to do) which means ‘selfless compassionate action’ that is taken to diminish the suffering of others. It is center (heart) of Eternal Human Happiness (Karuṇā Hriday - Kind Hearted).  Those who embrace Karuṇā, experience pure happiness and peace in their life. They treat everyone else as equal and as their brothers and sisters with an opportunity to help each other.

2. What is Kind Circle or Karuṇā Chakra?

The Kind Circle, or Karuṇā Chakra, emerges when we interact with the outside world through Karuṇā—selfless compassionate action—without any desire (Kaamana). This initiates a series of actions in our day-to-day lives that create a cascade of positive impacts (Chakra) to spread happiness and kindness. It is a manifestation of the invisible compassion that aims to alleviate the suffering of others, bringing hope and inspiring others to engage in similar actions. By embracing Karuṇā, we contribute to making our world a better place, one day at a time.

3. What is the Kind Circle Platform?

The Kind Circle Platform is a web-based service that enables individuals to set up scholarships, making education more accessible and affordable for deserving students in need. The platform empowers students in two significant ways:

  1. Vidya Dadati Vinayam: This phrase means "knowledge brings humility." Witnessing acts of Karuṇā (compassion) from benefactors during their formative years inspires students to dedicate their talents and knowledge to serving others for decades. Notable examples include Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, and many contemporary scholars who have made substantial contributions.
  2. Increased Lifetime Value: Each additional year of education can boost a student’s potential earnings by 10%. Therefore, a student who completes their graduation could earn over 50% more than if they had only completed up to Class 10.
4. How Does the Kind Circle Platform Work? Key Terminologies

The Kind Circle platform operates according to a model known as CIDD (Create, Involve, Discover, Disburse):

  1. Create Your Circle of Kindness: Establish a virtual NGO by setting a theme, defining a purpose, and initiating various actions.
  2. Involve Your Friends and Family: Encourage them to join as donors, partners, interviewers, and mentors.
  3. Discover Scholars & Disburse Scholarships: Select deserving students from a curated list and distribute scholarships to them.

Key Terminologies:

  1. Karta: The primary administrator and creator of the Circle of Kindness. This individual acts as the super admin, assigning roles and permissions to other members within their Kind Circle.
  2. Sub-Karta: A secondary level of administrator who has all the capabilities of a Karta, except the ability to alter the Karta’s role.
  3. Managers: Members tasked with specific responsibilities and duties to oversee various activities within the Kind Circle.
  4. Donors: Individuals who have made financial contributions to your circle.

Note: Each Kind Circle must have at least one Karta to function. The Karta's role is transferable to another person at the discretion of the current Karta.

The "Kind Circle" logo visually represents its mission to spread kindness, happiness, and peace in all directions, creating a positive impact on society. At the center, the water drop symbolizes the initial act of kindness, while the concentric ripples radiating outward demonstrate how a single act propagates, influencing others and creating a ripple effect of goodwill.

Inside the water drop, a small red heart emphasizes that kindness originates from love and compassion. The surrounding blue shades convey calmness and unity, while the circular pattern encapsulates the idea that kindness, once initiated, expands infinitely, touching lives far and wide.

The logo is also imbued with the symbolic significance of the flame of a Diya (traditional oil lamp), representing knowledge and wisdom spreading everywhere. This directly connects with the Kind Circle motto, which is to provide scholarships to deserving students in need, enabling them to pursue their education and create a brighter future.

Overall, this modern and abstract design succinctly embodies the platform's core values and visually communicates its vision for a more compassionate and enlightened world.
